The Work We Do

We are all out to make the world a less difficult, place for the poor, putting smiles on their faces.

Feeding

OYHWF is actively engaged in addressing issues related to hunger and malnutrition. This involves organizing and implementing programs such as crusades and outreaches where food stuff is distributed, especially targeting vulnerable populations such as marginalized families, children, and the elderly.

Clothing

We recognize the importance of providing clothing assistance to those who may be struggling with economic challenges or crises. As part of our efforts to address this need, we take a proactive approach by engaging in various initiatives, such as partnering with local businesses or donors to secure a steady supply of clothing for distribution. This enables us to ensure that those in need are able to access free clothing of good quality.
To achieve this goal, we rely on the support of community members who donate clothing items that are either fairly used or new.

Medicals

Medical assistance involves supporting individuals and communities who lack access to essential healthcare services. This includes organizing free medical outreaches in communities, providing financial assistance to the poor for medical treatments, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to offer free or subsidized medical services. In Nigeria, we have organised such free medical outreaches in a lot communities like: Orogun, Sam-Agidi, Kokori, Kabusa, Gbessa, Jiwa, Wukara, Angwa-rogo, Sauka Zhigodo, Dandi, Lugbe, Pbwasapa, Akampa, Akpabiyo Abonnema to mention a few…

Water

The Open Your Hands Wide Foundation addresses water-related challenges by implementing projects that improve access to clean and safe drinking water. This may involve constructing wells, boreholes, or water purification systems in areas where clean water is scarce.

School Fees

We at OYHWF have been supporting education by assisting families who struggle to afford school fees for their children. We provide direct financial assistance and establish scholarship programmes for children in the Bible Club which is an arm of the foundation. In addition to financial support, we engage in projects that improve educational infrastructure, such as building classrooms, providing learning materials, and supporting teacher training programmes. One of such programme is currently running in Kodomti community in Adamawa State.

Hospital Bills

In an attempt to alleviate the financial burden of healthcare, the foundation decided to step in to cover and sometimes subsidize hospital bills for individuals who cannot afford necessary medical treatments. We Collaborate with healthcare institutions and professionals to negotiate reduced costs and ensure that individuals receive the care they need without facing financial hardship.

Giving is Rewarding

He who has pity on the poor gives to the Lord, and the Lord will give him his reward (Prov. 19:17).
